What is Trackman Range?

WHAT IS TRACKMAN RANGE?

The Trackman Range is designed to develop and improve golfers’ games, using radar and GPS trackers positioned across driving ranges to give real-time, data-driven individual tips on improvement.

Not to be confused with the Trackman’s range (lowercase ‘r’) which tracks ball movement up to +350 yards, the Trackman Range delivers virtual golf, practice, and entertainment packages designed to entice in even non-golfers.

But why is the Trackman Range so exciting and why do you need it for your driving range?

Giving players real-time data with the Trackman Range

Real-time data is calculated by the Trackman Range by placing multiple GPS-tracked radars around the range.

From this data, an overlapping tracking-field array, or display, is created that tracks the flight of every ball, from every bay connected.

This information is then instantly relayed to that bay’s logged-in device- be it a monitor, tablet, or smartphone, which allows golfers the chance to develop their skills based on the data of their shot.

It includes information such as:

·         Ball speed

·         Launch angle

·         Launch direction

·         Height

·         Carry

·         Total distance

·         Distance to pin

Now utilised by driving ranges across the world, the Trackman Range can calculate more data than players will probably know what to do with, giving range visitors the ability to focus on microscopic changes or look at larger areas of improvement.

This includes carry yardages and accuracy levels with each type of club, which Trackman describe as the ‘secret to scoring that is staring golfers right in the face…’

This is important because many golfers sometimes feel unenthused by their time at the golfing range. The repetitive nature of the activity means that although very important to a golfer’s progression, it can seem monotonous if players are not receiving proper feedback and tips to improve.

With the Trackman Range, visitors can see unequivocally from the data how they are performing, and how to improve, and the digital format makes it engaging, and entertaining.

Driving golfers to succeed.

Bring golf to everyone with the Trackman Range

The Trackman Range is aimed at golfers of all skill levels and aims to give feedback and a data-driven experience that makes practice feel like a game.

The inclusion of an entertainment package means golfing can become an attractive prospect to non-players, who will find themselves caught up in the Trackman’s new range of games.

Games for non-golfers with the Trackman Range

The Trackman Range has included three beginner-friendly games, perfect for serious golfers and golf newbies alike that encourage the development of key golf skills with an increased fun factor!

Bullseye

This game was developed, as the name suggests, to work on target accuracy and involves point scoring for landing your ball closest to the flag.

Hit It

Hit It encourages players to simply hit the ball as far as they can, thereby increasing their range.

Elements such as beating their personal best keep players engaged and brings out natural competition between friends and family.

Capture the Flag

Test and increase your accuracy by attempting to capture all of the flags.

The aim of the game is to land your ball closest to each flag to capture it until you have them all.

By increasing the fun for everyone, Trackman Range turns golf practice into a literal game, and no doubt aims to increase interest in golf twofold:

1.       Giving non-golfers a good time and encouraging them into the sport further.

2.       Keeping current golf players interested by increasing the fun factor of time spent on the driving range.
